Feed My Starving Children in Aurora, IL seeks a full-time supervisor to lead food packing shifts, coordinate facility needs, and engage volunteers through hospitality and mission storytelling.

The role supports safety, quality, and regulatory compliance, with opportunities to present to volunteers and donors. Training includes CPR and first aid, with a focus on hospitality and team leadership.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
• Demonstrated leadership experience is required and coaching others.
• Able to engage large groups of volunteers and supporters.
• Self-starter who can make decisions independently.
• Team player with flexible, proactive approach.
• Physically able to perform duties for 4–8 hr shifts.
• Respectful of diverse volunteers and supporters.

Responsibilities

• Supervise food packing operations and delegate tasks per FMSC policies.
• Model strong work performance and provide on-the-spot coaching.
• Lead site-level facilities support and coordinate with property management and vendors.
• Serve as on-site contact for safety, quality, and emergencies in absence of management.
• Create welcoming volunteer experiences through speaking and storytelling.
• Coordinate packing sessions and manage volunteers and materials.
• Maintain cleanliness and food safety across the facility.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
