Job summary

Astranis Space Technologies Corp. is seeking a Facilities Technician to ensure smooth daily operations of our satellite manufacturing facility and office spaces in Northern California.

You will perform hands-on maintenance across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry, coordinate with external contractors, and uphold rigorous safety standards. Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of hands-on facility experience, comfort with ladders and lifting, and a proactive approach to reducing downtime.

Qualifications

• 3+ years working in a facility technician, construction trade, or similar technical hands-on role.
• Proficiency with common hand and power tools.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
• Ability to safely utilize ladders of various heights to complete tasks and projects.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and comfortable with being on your feet for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands on installation, maintenance, and repairs, such as plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry work.
• Respond to emergent requests to limit facility and equipment downtime.
• Assemble, arrange, and move furniture and equipment as needed for new area buildouts or moves.
• Open, track and resolve electronic work tickets for requests and projects.
• Work with external contractors and vendors for specialized repairs and services.
• Follow and enforce safety protocols and procedures to promote a safe and secure work environment.
• Document and maintain various tools, hardware, and equipment in order to limit downtime.
• Provide operational and logistics support for our spacecraft and technology development programs as needed.
