Job summary

Astranis Space Technologies in Northern California, USA, is seeking a Facilities Technician to install, maintain, and repair building systems and equipment. You will perform hands-on tasks across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry, respond to emergencies, and support spaceflight programs with operational logistics.

The role requires 3+ years in a facility or trades role, proficiency with hand and power tools, and willingness to work evenings or weekends.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a facility technician or similar hands-on role.
• Proficiency with common hand and power tools.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and be on your feet for extended periods.
• Ability to safely utilize ladders of various heights.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands on installation, maintenance, and repairs, such as plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry work
• Respond to emergent requests to limit facility and equipment downtime
• Assemble, arrange, and move furniture and equipment as needed for new area buildouts or moves
• Open, track and resolve electronic work tickets for requests and projects
• Work with external contractors and vendors for specialized repairs and services
• Follow and enforce safety protocols and procedures to promote a safe and secure work environment
• Document and maintain various tools, hardware, and equipment in order to limit downtime
• Provide operational and logistics support for our spacecraft and technology development programs as needed
