Job summary

The Scion Group is seeking a Facilities Technician to maintain and repair a student housing property in Knoxville, TN. You will perform preventive maintenance, prepare apartments for turnovers, and ensure safety and functionality of buildings and equipment.

This role emphasizes customer service, reliability, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with occasional on-call duties and after-hours support as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Certified Pool Operator (CPO) within six months or intent to obtain.
• Clear and effective communication skills.
• Safety-conscious with ability to handle deadlines and after-hours work.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Willingness to travel as needed.
• Stand 8 hours and lift up to 100 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain property condition per SOPs, OSHA, and industry standards.
• Perform routine maintenance and basic repairs.
• Execute daily maintenance objectives with the Facilities team.
• Document work and parts used; submit daily reports.
• Assist in completing service requests and coordinating supplies.
• Provide courteous service to residents, staff, and contractors.
• Perform basic appliance, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and light electrical work.
• Complete preventive maintenance tasks as assigned.
• Keep work area clean and organized.
