Job summary

YMCA of Greater Boston seeks a Facilities Manager responsible for the overall condition and presentation of the Wang YMCA branch. You will ensure clean, safe, well-maintained facilities and supervise maintenance of non-complex building systems.

The role requires hands-on repairs, coordination with program directors for compliance, and oversight of building systems and grounds. Strong attention to safety and reliability is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in facilities management and hands-on repairs.
• Ability to supervise a maintenance team and ensure safety and cleanliness.
• Familiarity with building systems including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and grounds care.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance and repair of non-complex building systems.
• Maintain documentation of building systems and preventive maintenance.
• Coordinate with program Directors on compliance, permits and inspections.
• Collaborate with Aquatics Director to ensure pool, steam and sauna systems function properly.
• Inspect building envelope and systems for structural integrity.
• Support annual Capital Improvement Program as needed.
