Job summary

YMCA of Central Massachusetts seeks a Facilities Director to oversee maintenance and custodial operations at the Central Community Branch and Camp Blanchard. The role includes preventative maintenance, supervising staff, and coordinating with contractors to ensure safety and high standards.

The Director must be available 24/7 for emergencies, manage budgets, ensure regulatory compliance, and support charitable initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in facility management or 5+ years' related experience.
• Experience supervising staff and managing budgets.
• CPO certification within 120 days of employment; CPR/First Aid/AED training within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate facility maintenance plans and preventative maintenance.
• Recruit, train, develop, schedule, and direct staff; evaluate performance.
• Oversee contracted custodial services and contractors; ensure safety.
• Ensure the pools operate safely and that chemical controls are maintained; maintain CPO certification.
• Provide on-call, 24/7 availability for emergencies and critical incidents.
• Ensure compliance with local/state/federal regulations for facility operations.
• Maintain inventory of housekeeping supplies and replacement parts.
• Support the association's charitable giving and branch goals.
