Job summary

Hi-Tech Manufacturing, LLC is seeking a Facilities Mechanic to install, maintain, and improve facility systems in a San Jose, California environment. Responsibilities include wiring, plumbing, lighting, ductwork, carpentry, and fixture installation, with emphasis on safety and compliance.

The candidate will work independently yet within a team, handling heavy items and using scissor lifts and forklifts as needed. Strong communication skills and PPE usage are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of experience as facilities mechanic or equivalent.
• Ability to work independently with minimal guidance.
• Must be able to use scissor lifts and forklifts as necessary.
• Demonstrated effective verbal, written, and communication skills.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
• Must wear required PPE for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Install electrical conduit and compressed air lines.
• Install IT network cables to equipment.
• Install and repair lights, water/sewage plumbing, and ductwork.
• Perform minor carpentry, cubicle installs, and furniture assembly.
• Repair and maintain doors, locks, and security cameras.
• Maintain building infrastructure and grounds, including roofs, walls, floors.
• Move heavy furniture and equipment, manually or with hand trucks.
• Flag major repairs to managers and follow OSHA safety rules.
