Headway Technologies in Milpitas, CA is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of industrial equipment, including HVAC packaging units, chillers, boilers, and water systems. The role involves electrical, mechanical, and plumbing work inside and outside the facility, with a focus on safety and compliance.

The technician will read schematics, manage work orders, supervise contracted services for roof and building upkeep, and respond to staff

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
Five years of experience in facilities, construction, plumbing, or a similar technician role.
Industrial or Electrical Controls Systems Certification preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

Performs scheduled and unscheduled electrical, mechanical, and plumbing repairs or maintenance inside/outside the facility.
Maintains HVAC units and packaging/chiller systems; minor automation controls repairs.
Reads and interprets schematics (hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, plumbing).
Enters and tracks work orders using in-house software to ensure service standards.
Uses power tools and calibration equipment to repair machinery.
Oversees contracted preventive maintenance for roof, life safety, and general building upkeep.
Responds to facilities-related requests from staff; supports after-hours emergencies.
