Job summary

Headway Technologies is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to perform scheduled and unscheduled electrical, mechanical, and plumbing maintenance across the Milpitas facility. The role includes HVAC system upkeep, minor automation work, and working with contractors for preventative maintenance.

The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma or GED and at least five years of relevant experience, with Microsoft Office proficiency and a preference for Industrial/Electrical Controls

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Five years of experience in facilities/tech roles in facilities, construction, plumbing, or similar.
• Industrial or Electrical Controls Systems Certification preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Performs scheduled and unscheduled electrical, mechanical, and plumbing repairs or maintenance to facility interiors and exteriors.
• Maintains HVAC units including packaging units, chillers, and cooling towers; performs minor automation or environmental control repairs.
• Reads and interprets schematic drawings (hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, plumbing).
• Enters and tracks work orders using in-house software to meet service standards.
• Oversees contracted repair services for preventative maintenance and basic building maintenance.
• Adheres to safety policies and responds to after-hours emergencies as needed.
