Job summary

Harbinger is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician I to join our team in California. This role handles routine maintenance and repairs to keep building systems safe, functional, and comfortable.

The candidate should have basic technical skills, a strong work ethic, and willingness to grow in a fast-paced environment. The position requires knowledge of building trades, ability to read plans, and a valid CA driver’s license.

Qualifications

• General understanding of building trades including electric, plumbing, painting, and HVAC systems.
• Proficiency with tools and equipment used in building maintenance.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and record-keeping.
• Ability to read blueprints, plans, specs, and manuals.
• Knowledge of safety hazards and standard practices.
• Experience with BMS software for work orders is a plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid California Class C driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic facilities maintenance, construction, and repairs per standards.
• Install, inspect, repair, and perform basic preventative maintenance on systems.
• Assist with facility projects including painting and fixtures installation.
• Use a work order system to log activities timely.
• Coordinate with contractors to complete projects or repairs.
• Assist with office moves and heavy lifting of furniture and equipment.
• Follow safety policies, OSHA, PPE, and LOTO procedures.
