Job summary

The Scion Group in College Station, TX is seeking a Facilities Technician II to maintain and repair our student housing properties, perform preventive maintenance, prep apartments for turnovers, and coordinate with vendors under the direction of the Facilities Manager.

Ideal candidates bring 3–5 years of maintenance experience, HVAC/EPA 608 certification, CPO or plan to obtain, and a strong safety mindset. This is non-exempt, on-site with occasional after-hours work.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and 3–5 years of full-time maintenance experience.
• HVAC certification (EPA 608 Core, Type I/II/III).
• Certified Pool Operator or plan to obtain within six months.
• Strong communication and safety mindset.
• Willingness to travel and flexible for after-hours emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the property’s physical condition following SOPs and safety standards.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs to minimize liability.
• Oversee life safety system testing and routine diagnostics.
• Coordinate with vendors and the Facilities Manager on schedules.
• Assist in emergency planning and door security procedures.
• Ensure all service requests are completed in a timely manner.
