Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. is seeking an entry-level Maintenance Technician I to support routine maintenance in a fast-paced production environment in Texas.

You will help troubleshoot and repair basic mechanical systems, perform preventive maintenance on machinery, and ensure facility operations run smoothly. Ideal candidates have 2+ years of related maintenance experience or a relevant certification/degree, familiarity with hand and power tools, and basic electronics knowledge.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of related hands-on maintenance experience or relevant certification/degree in lieu of experience.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, lubrication, cleaning and inspections.
• Familiar with electronics such as photo sensors, PLCs, remote I/Os, servo drives, and VFDs.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment per work orders and documentation.
• Respond to service requests with limited supervision without interrupting operations.
• Perform general building maintenance such as lamp replacement and basic plumbing.
