Job summary

The City of Gresham is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician 2 to join the Facilities Management team. This role supports maintenance of City buildings and grounds, performing skilled trades in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and landscaping under the Facilities Manager guidance.

You will work both independently and with a team to inspect facilities, execute repairs, and maintain safety standards while documenting activities and coordinating with other departments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, or related fields.
• Ability to safely operate tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in inspecting buildings and facilities to identify maintenance and repair needs.
• Perform HVAC and electrical repair tasks.
• Perform maintenance and repair work including carpentry, landscaping, painting and mechanical tasks.
• Operate light- and medium-duty trucks to transport materials.
• Document maintenance and repair activities and maintain records.
• Respond to and resolve inquiries regarding operations and repairs.
