Job summary

South Piedmont Community College is seeking a Facilities Technician II for a full-time role to support facilities maintenance on the LL Polk Campus in Polkton, NC. The position reports to the Director of Facilities in Anson County and works with the department to complete work requests and care for the facilities and grounds.

Qualifications include a high school diploma, valid driver's license, ability to lift 70 lbs, climb ladders, and knowledge of general maintenance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Ability to lift and place at least 70 lbs. on an ongoing basis.
• Ability to climb and work from a ladder.
• Knowledge of general maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain all facilities (buildings) and properties (grounds, equipment, cars, etc.).
• Assist with security of facilities.
• Assist with special events including setup and cleanup.
• Look for and report facility and property problems.
• Perform routine maintenance such as painting, plumbing, mechanical and electrical repairs.
• Perform a variety of laboring duties as assigned.
• Ability to be on call or work evenings if needed.
