Job summary

The Scion Group is hiring a Facilities Technician II for a property in Texas. This role handles maintenance requests, preventive tasks, turnovers, and supply coordination to ensure safe, functional buildings for residents.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of maintenance experience, HVAC/EPA 608 certification, CPO or plans to obtain it, and solid communication skills. Travel and after-hours work may be required; a valid driver’s license is expected.

Qualifications

• High school/GED or trade school diploma and 3–5 years of full-time general maintenance experience
• HVAC certification/EPA 608 certification (Core, Type I, II & III)
• Certified Pool Operator (CPO) or plan to obtain within six months
• Clear and effective communication skills
• Knowledge of key management and security systems
• Ability to work with after-hours and weekend emergencies
• Valid driver’s license
• Willingness to travel as required
• Ability to stand 8 hours or longer and lift up to 100 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain property physical condition per SOPs, OSHA and industry standards
• Perform demanding maintenance to protect assets and minimize liability
• Oversee operating, monitoring/diagnostics, and preventive testing for major systems
• Monitor life-safety systems and emergency equipment
• Assist in emergency plans and disaster preparedness
• Manage key control and security, unlock doors and escort vendors
• Coordinate schedules with vendors/contractors
• Plan daily maintenance objectives with the Manager
• Diagnose and perform routine maintenance or repair
• Ensure all service requests are completed
