Job summary

Empath Health seeks a Facilities Technician II to perform routine repair work and maintain buildings and grounds. You will apply skilled trades knowledge in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry and building methods to ensure facilities are safe and functional.

The role is per diem in Sarasota with PTO coverage and no set schedule; a company vehicle is provided for site travel and on-site work. A mission-driven healthcare organization offers wellness benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years maintenance experience.
• General knowledge of maintenance including electrical, plumbing, painting, wall repair and equipment installation.
• High school diploma or GED; valid auto insurance and drivers license.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose problems and repair equipment.
• Analyze situations and recommend cost-effective solutions.
• Assemble and install equipment with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry and building methods.
• Ensure equipment and fixtures are in good working condition.
• Travel to Empath sites; company vehicle provided.

Empath Health is seeking an Facilities Technician II is responsible for performing routine repair work and maintaining designated buildings and grounds. Performs skills tradesmen construction and renovation work as assigned.

What you’ll Do

• Diagnose problems and/or repair equipment
• Analyze and assess situations and make recommendations for cost-effective solutions
• Assemble and install equipment, working knowledge of the trades including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry and building construction methods

What You’ll Need
