Job summary

Barrett Distribution Centers is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform ongoing facility maintenance and repair of equipment. The role reports to the Safety and Facility Maintenance Manager.

The position offers a wage of $24.00–$26.00/hour, depending on experience, with a Monday-Friday shift from 7:30am to 4:00pm. Day-to-day duties include servicing machinery with pneumatics, hydraulics, electronics, and conveyors; conducting preventative maintenance; ordering parts; maintaining inventory;

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years in facilities maintenance or related field.
• English language ability; bilingual Spanish/English preferred.
• Experience with industrial maintenance and electromechanical equipment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain facility machinery and equipment, including pneumatics, hydraulics, electronics, circuit boards, sensors, belts and drives, and machine motors.
• Ensure equipment is prepared for operation following protocols and perform regular technical testing for safety and efficiency.
• Repair and maintain machinery using hand tools, power tools and testing instruments, following diagrams and manuals.
• Conduct quality assessments, schedule repairs, and develop preventative maintenance procedures.
• Collect data on machine operation and suggest actions to reduce downtime.
• Maintain inventory records for equipment and supplies; order replacement parts as needed.
• Perform routine building maintenance and safety improvements to reduce future problems.
• Operate powered industrial vehicles as needed.
