The Maintenance Technician ensures operational efficiency and safety through skilled repairs and proactive tasks.

Qualifications

• 2-3+ years of experience in a similar role.
• High school diploma or equivalent; certifications in HVAC, building maintenance, or related fields are preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret work orders.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must have availability to work long hours, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
• Problem-solving skills to diagnose and correct equipment malfunctions.
• Manual dexterity and physical strength to perform repairs, installations, and maintenance tasks.
• Time management and attention to detail to complete tasks efficiently and prevent future issues.
• Effective communication skills to report equipment status and coordinate with team members or management.

Responsibilities

• Handle work orders for maintenance and operations, including HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, chillers, refrigeration, ice making, boilers, and related equipment.
• Perform electrical system maintenance (replace bulbs and receptacles).
• Conduct general upkeep procedures (painting, carpentry).
• Troubleshoot repairs in concession stands and equipment.
• Operate forklift and/or scissor lift as needed.
• Maintain knowledge of relevant federal, state, and local regulations.
• Assist with event and operational tasks to support building success.
• Perform routine inspections of buildings, equipment, and systems to identify issues and prevent breakdowns.
• Conduct preventive maintenance to extend equipment lifespan.
• Repair or replace faulty equipment across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
• Handle minor construction tasks (carpentry, painting, drywall).
• Use diagnostic tools and manuals/blueprints to troubleshoot issues.
• Maintain records of maintenance, repairs, and inventory via work order system.
• Ensure safety compliance during maintenance activities.
• Respond to emergency maintenance requests and decide in-house vs specialists.
