Job summary

Oak View Group is seeking an HVAC Mechanic to maintain and repair HVAC, refrigeration, and mechanical systems across MBCC. You will monitor BAS controls, coordinate with contractors, and support event operations for optimal environmental conditions.

The role requires 3+ years in large-venue HVAC, with EPA 608 certification and union benefits per the agreement. The position offers hourly pay and flexible hours, including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical HVAC training preferred.
• 3+ years in maintenance/repair of commercial HVAC systems in large facilities.
• Strong knowledge of BAS, refrigeration, and building systems; able to read schematics.
• Able to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Excellent communication and teamwork with contractors and internal staff.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot computerized HVAC systems.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC units, pumps, and related equipment.
• Monitor cooling towers, chillers, and BAS controls for efficient operation.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external contractors during events.
• Complete work orders and document maintenance activities per SOPs.
