Job summary

Green Thumb Industries in Hackettstown, NJ is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support daily facility upkeep and major repairs. You will assist the Maintenance Manager with routine preventive maintenance, assist in building, HVAC, plumbing, electrical and painting tasks, and ensure safety and compliance.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in maintenance, basic HVAC/plumbing knowledge, and is comfortable working independently or in a team within a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Education or GED required; some college or college graduate preferred
• 2+ years experience in maintenance or similar position preferred
• Basic knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical and general construction/carpentry
• Highly knowledgeable with hand and power tools
• Adapts and thrives in a demanding, start-up, fast-paced environment
• Possesses a high level of critical thinking
• Operates with a high level of professionalism and integrity, including dealing with confidential information
• Must work well with others and be able to adapt quickly to changes in policy, procedure and technique.

Responsibilities

• Performs duties safely, following company work rules and policies
• Perform minor building, HVAC, plumbing, electrical and painting repairs
• Assist in construction, preventative, routine, and breakdown maintenance on equipment
• Perform routine filter cleaning and replacement on HVAC units and other equipment
• Maintain inventory of repair equipment and supplies
• Complete work orders as assigned
• Develop knowledge concerning equipment in the facility
• Maintain knowledge of plumbing, electrical, irrigation, HVAC and security systems
• Ensure compliance with all company policies and required training
• Unload freight deliveries when needed
• Perform other maintenance duties as requested
• Help create a positive environment with a positive attitude
• Research and adapt to new methods to meet goals
• Follow health guidelines and regulations
