Job summary

AdCare Rhode Island American Addiction Centers is seeking a Maintenance Technician to help ensure a safe, well-maintained facility. You will support the campus operations, perform routine repairs, and coordinate with leadership to address safety and equipment concerns.

The role requires hands-on maintenance across plumbing, electrical, carpentry and general building systems, strong problem-solving, and clear communication with staff. A valid driver’s license is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years experience in plumbing, electrical, carpentry or general building maintenance.
• Demonstrated knowledge of the use and maintenance of trades tools and equipment.
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
• Valid State driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform typical maintenance tasks to support the facility operations.
• Detect and report defective material or questionable conditions to management.
• Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow safety regulations.
• Perform preventative maintenance on machinery, building systems and grounds.
• Respond to tenant reports of MEP or maintenance issues promptly.
• Install/repair and maintain building systems and related components.
• Lead skilled tasks related to trades as needed.
• Repair or replace windows and door locks; general repairs to buildings.
• Evaluate, repair and maintain plumbing, electrical and HVAC systems.
• Inspect equipment and report findings; ensure compliance with AAC policies.
