Job summary

Family Service of Rhode Island (FSRI) is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure the safety, functionality, and upkeep of its properties, including on-site buildings and scattered site apartments. Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, safety inspections, coordinating contractors, and emergency response across multiple FSRI locations.

The role requires knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry, with a focus on family-centered, trauma-informed settings.

Qualifications

• Experience in general maintenance, facilities management, and coordination of contractors.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems, as well as carpentry.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair common building issues.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively and respond in emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and routine upkeep of FSRI properties.
• Coordinate with hired contractors and ensure safety inspections.
• Respond to emergencies and coordinate repairs across sites.
• Work in family-centered environments with confidentiality.
