Job summary

Andersen Corporation in Garland, TX is hiring a Building Service Technician for 1st shift. The role focuses on building maintenance, grounds upkeep and coordination of on-site service providers to ensure safe, reliable facilities operations.

You will perform drywall, plumbing, electrical, HVAC tasks and use CMMS for work orders and PMs. A2-year degree or 3–5 years of related experience, plus strong communication and PPE practices, are required.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in HVAC, Facility Maintenance or 3-5 years of related experience.
• Proficient computer skills (MS applications, CMMS, etc.).
• Basic understanding of buildings/grounds infrastructures (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, irrigation, fire alarms, etc.).
• Ability to follow simple oral and written instructions.
• Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with internal customers, service providers, supervisor, and coworkers.

Responsibilities

• Primary responsibilities include building maintenance such as drywall repair, painting, door hardware, plumbing and electrical repairs, HVAC maintenance and troubleshooting, kitchen equipment upkeep, and preventive maintenance using the CMMS system.
• Grounds maintenance duties include keeping grounds safe and clean, supervising contracted grounds services, seasonal startup/shutdown tasks, and coordinating snow removal.
• Secondary responsibilities include supervision of on-site service providers, directing grounds crew during winter, and ensuring safety and quality standards are met.
