Andersen Corporation in Garland, TX is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform building, grounds, and facility maintenance. Responsibilities include HVAC, plumbing, electrical repairs, preventive maintenance, and CMMS-driven work order management.

You will supervise contracted services, manage inventories, and ensure safety and quality in all tasks. The role requires a related degree or 3–5 years of experience, strong communication, and the ability to lift 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in HVAC, Facility Maintenance or 3–5 years of related experience.
• Proficient computer skills (MS Office, CMMS).
• Basic understanding of buildings/grounds infrastructure (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, irrigation, fire alarms).
• Ability to follow simple oral and written instructions.
• Excellent communication and time management skills.
• Ability to coordinate and oversee on-site service providers.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs and operate safety PPE properly.

Responsibilities

• Perform building maintenance including electrical, plumbing, HVAC and general repairs.
• Manage preventive maintenance and write/track work orders in CMMS.
• Order and maintain inventory; provide indirect supervision of contracted services.
• Maintain grounds, seasonal heat tape startup/shutdown, and snow removal coordination.
• Ensure safety standards and report unsafe conditions; contribute continuous improvement ideas.
