Job summary

IEM is seeking an on-site Facilities Maintenance Technician to support a three-building campus with routine PMs, repairs, and safety compliance. You will work with electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems, using CMMS to track work and coordinate with contractors.

Candidates should have 2+ years in industrial maintenance, basic electrical/HVAC knowledge, and a valid driver’s license. Ability to work 1st–3rd shifts and on-call rotations is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; trade school certification in a facilities-related trade preferred.
• 2+ years of hands-on facilities maintenance experience in industrial/multi-building environments.
• Knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems; able to use hand and power tools safely.
• Familiarity with CMMS/work order systems and documentation.
• Understanding of LOTO, confined space, and general industrial safety (OSHA 10/30 a plus).
• Ability to read basic blueprints and equipment manuals.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, lighting, doors/dock equipment, life-safety).
• Diagnose and repair mechanical/electrical/plumbing issues; escalate complex repairs.
• Respond to work orders and trouble calls via CMMS; prioritize safety and production impact.
• Support production continuity by minimizing downtime through timely repairs.
• General building repairs (drywall, painting, flooring, door hardware, carpentry).
• Maintain electrical distribution components at a basic level; assist licensed electricians as needed.
• Inspect dock doors, levelers, overhead doors, and material handling interfaces.
• Conduct facility inspections to identify hazards, code violations, needs.
