Job summary

City of Greenacres is seeking a skilled Maintenance Supervisor to oversee trades workers and coordinate preventive maintenance of public buildings and park facilities. You will lead planning, supervision, and on-site operations to maintain safe, efficient infrastructure.

The role requires coordinating procurement, specifications, and vendor evaluations, while mentoring staff and ensuring adherence to safety rules. Flexibility for after-hours activities may be needed.

Qualifications

• Must have strong planning and supervisory abilities to coordinate trades staff.
• Experience with procuring materials and evaluating suppliers for cost effectiveness.
• Ability to prepare specifications and requisition documentation; ensure compliance with purchase orders.

Responsibilities

• Plan, supervise and complete work with staff, ensuring adherence to City policies.
• Assist with procurement by researching cost effective materials and services.
• Prepare specifications, requisition docs, evaluate suppliers, ensure goods/services meet PO terms.
• Identify training needs, mentor staff, provide ongoing performance feedback.
• Serve as backup on-site in absence of Facilities Supervisor and monitor safety and tool maintenance.
• Perform preventive maintenance and installations on building and park facilities systems.
• Coordinate division repair and maintenance with other City Departments.
• Follow safety procedures and enforce regulations.
• Complete work orders, accident reports, inspections and other required documents.
