The City of Greenacres is seeking a skilled Fleet maintenance supervisor to oversee repair and maintenance of light to heavy-duty vehicles and equipment. You will guide shop staff, manage procurement, and ensure compliance with safety and environmental rules.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, Florida CDL Class B with air-brake endorsement or ability to obtain, and ASE certifications are highly desirable. Post-offer physicals and on-call after-hours work may be required.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED.
• Minimum four years in the maintenance/repair of light to heavy-duty vehicles.
• Two or more ASE certifications highly desired.
• Possession of EVT certification or ability to obtain within six months.
• Florida CDL Class B with air-brake endorsement or ability to obtain within six months.
• Must pass post-offer physical examination and meet minimum requirements.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Florida driver's license.

Responsabilités

• Oversee and coordinate work tasks of mechanics, supervising shop and field operations.
• Assist Supervisor with procurement and cost-effective sourcing of parts and services.
• Prepare specifications and requisitions; evaluate suppliers and ensure terms are met.
• Identify training needs and provide ongoing feedback to staff.
• Serve as backup and make on-site decisions in the absence of the Fleet Supervisor.
• Ensure preventive maintenance schedules and enforce safety regulations.
• Investigate workload optimization and evaluate new technologies and practices.
