Job summary

Qualifications

• High school graduate with mechanical experience and formal technical training.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematic diagrams, and equipment manuals.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventive maintenance and repairs on a wide variety of facility equipment.
• Makes rounds of machine rooms to check operation and identify hazards.
• Evaluates procedures and recommends improvements; documents activities.
• Repairs pneumatic tube system and responds to fire alarms or loss of utilities affecting life safety.
• Assists in moving furniture and equipment and maintains a clean, safe workspace.
• Reports unsafe situations and maintains equipment histories.
