Job summary

Innova Solutions, on behalf of a client in Herndon, VA, is seeking a Facilities Technician for a full-time contract (possible contract-to-hire) on-site, 1st shift (7AM-4PM).

The successful candidate will perform maintenance, safety inspections, and moves while ensuring clear records and a clean work environment. The role requires prior facilities maintenance experience and LO/TO proficiency.

Qualifications

• High school diploma with a minimum of 3 years of experience in facilities maintenance.
• Proficiency in Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LO/TO) procedures.
• Demonstrated customer service skills and team player.
• Solid written and verbal communication skills.
• Will need to work outside, inside, and around building grounds in varying elements.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic maintenance activities and service requests (plumbing, electrical devices, etc.).
• Performs preventive maintenance and monthly safety inspections and reports issues.
• Supports conference room set-ups, moves, and furniture reconfigurations.
• Responds to emergency maintenance requests as directed.
• Maintains accurate records and supports a neat, safe work environment.

A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring a Facilities Technician Position Type: Full-time contract, Possible Contract to Hire Duration: 12months Location: Herndon, VA 20170 (Onsite/ 1st shift/7AM-4PM)

As a Facilities Technician you will:

The successful candidate will be responsible for facilities maintenance and operations supporting several suites within one facility.

Essential Functions:

• Performs basic maintenance activities such as, but not limited to changing, plumbing repairs, electrical device installations, temperature adjustments, wall/door repairs, and service requests.
• Performs preventive maintenance and monthly safety inspections of assigned building, promptly reporting any maintenance issues to Facilities Manager.
• Supports conference room set-ups and teardowns.
• Supports Facilities moves, furniture installations, and reconfigurations.
• Responds to emergency maintenance requests as directed by the Facilities Manager.
• Performs detailed and accurate record keeping.
• Promotes effective work practices, works as a team member, and shows respect for co-workers.
• Supports the overall goal of maintaining a neat, clean, and comfortable work environment.
• Performs other duties as required.
• Follows Safety, Health, and Environmental policies and procedures.

Ideal candidate will have:

• High school diploma with a minimum of 3 years of experience in facilities maintenance.
• Proficiency in Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LO/TO) procedures.
• Demonstrated customer service skills and team player
• Physical requirements include climbing ladders, extended seating or standing, or other physical efforts.
• Solid written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic mechanical or "handyman" aptitude.
• Physical requirements include climbing ladders, extended sitting or standing, or other physical efforts.
• Will need to work outside, inside, walking building and grounds. Exposure to exterior elements to include cold, wind, and heat.
• Solid written and verbal communication skills.
• Initiative and self-motivated.

This position is only open to applicants who can be engaged on a W-2 basis.

Pay Range*: $35-$40/hr

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
