Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Supervisor, Facilities for the 2nd shift in Hawthorne, CA. You will lead a team of technicians, manage inspections, maintenance, and repairs of campus systems, and drive safety, budgeting, and vendor coordination. This on-site role requires relocation if not local and supports 2nd shift hours.

You will prioritize projects, ensure cost-effective operations, and work with SpaceX buyers to manage accounts while upholding SpaceX safety standards and company values.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency
• 3+ years of facilities management experience

Responsibilities

• Lead a team responsible for inspections, testing, maintenance and repair of campus wide systems including fire suppression, backflow preventers, electrical panels and other preventive maintenance
• Direct a team of building structures, plumbing, compressed air, and electrical facility technicians
• Schedule daily work and prioritize assignments
• Develop and execute site improvement projects aligned with business objectives
• Observe safety procedures and report unsafe acts or conditions
• Maintain records for all trades as required
• Understand electrical equipment such as motor control centers, transformers, switchboards, controllers, feeders, circuit breakers, motors, and conduit systems
• Communicate with Manager on daily activities, projects, and team morale
• Manage vendor/contractor finances with SpaceX buyers and AP
• Oversee team performance via coaching and development
