Job summary

Radford University in Radford, VA seeks a Manager of Facilities Planning & Strategic Initiatives to serve as a strategic right hand to the AVP for Facilities, driving planning, scheduling, and cross-functional projects. The role translates complex facilities information into decision-ready materials for leadership and external partners.

Duties include coordinating meetings, drafting reports and presentations, and managing communications on behalf of the AVP.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or bachelor’s with equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of progressive project/program management experience, preferably in higher education or public sector.
• PMP, PgMP, or equivalent project/program management certification, LEED, WELL, or energy/sustainability credentials a plus.
• Experience with facilities systems: CMMS, project controls, capital planning tools, and space management.

Responsibilities

• Planning and scheduling all FM projects.
• Coordinate meetings and agendas for the AVP and leadership teams.
• Review and synthesize information for decision-making.
• Draft correspondence, reports, and presentations.
• Track progress on strategic initiatives and communicate updates.
• Communicate routine updates and information on behalf of the AVP.
• Approve minor scheduling and logistical decisions for meetings and events.
• Authorize standard communications and documentation within established guidelines.
