Job summary

Radford University is seeking a Project & Event Manager to lead facilities maintenance projects and campus event support on the Radford campus. You will coordinate with customers, facilities staff, stakeholders, and vendors to ensure projects and events run smoothly.

The role requires experience in building maintenance or renovation, the ability to read plans, manage estimates, and work with various management tools. This is an essential on-site position with a 40-hour workweek.

Qualifications

  • Experience with building maintenance and/or construction/renovation.
  • Experience reading architectural plans and specifications.
  • Experience with work management systems, spreadsheets, word documents, and estimating.
  • Analytical and reasoning skills essential for evaluation, judgement and independent action.
  • Must maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with students, faculty and staff.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate day-to-day direction and coordination of Facilities maintenance projects and campus event support.
  • Communicate daily with customers, facilities staff, stakeholders and vendors.
  • Schedule activities to support renovation projects and campus events.
  • Procure and track costs for supplies, materials and contract labor.
  • Provide estimates to customers as requested.
