Job summary

JLL is seeking a Stationary Engineer in Concord, CA to operate, maintain and repair building mechanical systems including boilers, chillers, HVAC equipment, and related infrastructure. This union-based role requires membership or willingness to join the local union.

Responsibilities include managing pumps, valves, refrigerant systems, electrical controls, and building automation, while ensuring safe, compliant operation and energy efficiency. Strong diagnostic skills and MTTR focus are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; EPA Universal Refrigeration preferred.
• 3–5 years in operating building mechanical systems and related HVAC knowledge.
• Ability to read blueprints/schematics and interpret technical manuals.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and repair boilers, HVAC equipment, and related systems.
• Read blueprints, troubleshoot and repair electrical controls and pumps.
• Maintain building automation and life-safety systems.
• Assist with preventive maintenance and inventory of parts.
• Respond to emergency calls and support union requirements.
