Job summary

Smardt Inc. in Phoenix, AZ seeks a Facilities Supervisor to oversee startup and ongoing facility operations for a PA manufacturing site.

You will coordinate maintenance, safety, and vendor contracts to keep the site production-ready during ramp-up and steady-state operations. The role requires 5-7 years in facilities management within manufacturing, with greenfield site or new launch experience, and strong CMMS, 5S, and OSHA knowledge.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of facilities management, operations, or related roles in manufacturing.
• Greenfield site setup or new facility launches experience.
• Background in manufacturing facility operations and production support.
• Proven vendor management and contract negotiation experience.
• Experience with building management systems and facility automation.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and industrial safety requirements.
• Project management experience for facility improvements; after-hours readiness.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily facility operations including cleaning, maintenance, grounds keeping, and waste management.
• Manage facility service contracts and vendor relationships.
• Oversee building management systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection).
• Ensure inventory of facility supplies and maintenance materials.
• Coordinate safety inspections and regulatory compliance with EHS.
• Lead startup activities, space planning, and equipment installation.
• Support sustainability, 5S, and housekeeping initiatives.
