Job summary

Smardt is seeking a Production Manager in Phoenix to lead all production operations, drive Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement, and partner with Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, and EHS to scale a greenfield manufacturing operation.

The role requires hands-on leadership, 7–10 years of experience, and a strong background in production planning, safety, and operational excellence. Relocation support and competitive compensation are possible for the right candidate.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
7–10 years manufacturing operations experience.
3–5 years leading production teams in industrial manufacturing.

Responsibilities

Design and implement the manufacturing strategy alongside the annual budget process.
Develop and manage the master production schedule and budgets to meet schedule, budget and quality targets.
Foster a continuous improvement mindset focusing on safety, quality, delivery, cost, and talent development.
Lead, coach, and develop supervisors, team leads, and hourly production employees.
Establish relationships with internal and external stakeholders to drive optimal performance.
