Job summary

Green River District Health Department is seeking a Facilities and Special Projects Manager to oversee agency buildings, grounds, utilities, and safety systems. You will supervise facilities staff and coordinate with external contractors for maintenance, repairs, custodial tasks, and renovations.

The role supports long-term planning and leads facility-related special projects, including upgrades. Experience in building systems, project leadership, and OSHA/ADA compliance is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Five years of experience in building maintenance, facilities operations, construction, or project management.
• Ability to identify and address issues in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, or other building systems.
• Substitution: formal training may substitute for experience on a year-for-year basis.
• Familiarity with building systems and equipment; ability to plan and manage multi-vendor projects.
• Strong organizational and communication skills; knowledge of OSHA and ADA standards.

Responsibilities

• Supervise staff involved in building maintenance, repairs, and custodial services.
• Oversee preventative maintenance and ensure safety/ADA compliance.
• Coordinate with contractors for building and grounds projects.
• Develop and monitor the facilities budget; request capital expenditures.
• Lead special facility projects, upgrades, renovations, or repairs.
• Support OSHA compliance and agency risk management efforts.
• Coordinate fleet vehicle upkeep and related tasks.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
