Job summary

Green River District Health Department is seeking a Facilities and Special Projects Manager to oversee agency buildings, grounds, utilities, and safety systems. The role supervises facilities staff and coordinates with external contractors for maintenance, repairs, custodial, and renovations.

The position requires five years in facilities operations or related fields, with knowledge of building systems, OSHA, and ADA standards.

Qualifications

Five (5) years of experience in building maintenance, facilities operations, construction, or project management.
Experience addressing electrical, plumbing, HVAC, or other building systems.
Formal training may substitute for experience on a year-for-year basis.
Familiarity with building systems and equipment; ability to manage multiple vendors or contractors.
Strong organizational and communication skills; basic OSHA and ADA knowledge.
Ability to supervise and coordinate a diverse team of internal staff and external providers.

Responsibilities

Supervise staff involved in building maintenance, repair, and custodial services.
Oversee preventative maintenance and ensure safety and ADA compliance.
Coordinate with contractors for building and grounds projects.
Develop and monitor the facilities budget and request capital expenditures.
Lead special projects related to facility improvements, repairs, or construction.
Participate in risk management and OSHA compliance efforts.
Manage agency fleet vehicle coordination and upkeep.
Perform other duties as assigned.
