Job summary

Avera McKennan is seeking a Maintenance Coordinator to receive, prioritize, and dispatch work orders to facilities staff across hospital and clinic sites. Qualifications

  • High School or GED Equivalent is required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with staff across hospital and clinic sites.
  • Visual acuity to perform duties and tolerate a hospital environment.
  • Ability to learn and navigate multiple technical systems.

Responsibilities

  • Answer and triage incoming phone calls, emails, and other communications regarding maintenance issues from staff across hospital and clinic sites.
  • Provide clear instructions to staff on reporting processes and escalation procedures.
  • Document requests accurately and completely in the software system.
  • Evaluate reported issues to determine priority and appropriate response level.
  • Assign maintenance work orders to technicians or service teams and monitor status.
  • Learn and operate multiple systems critical to hospital operations (e.g., CMMS, building control systems, pneumatic tube systems).
  • Assist in generating reports for performance metrics and system utilization.

Work where you matter.A Brief OverviewResponsible for receiving, prioritizing, and dispatching work assignments to maintenance staff while monitoring progress to ensure timely resolution. The Coordinator must be able to learn and navigate multiple technical systems, provide excellent customer service to staff, and support the overall effectiveness of the Facility Services Department.What you will doAnswers and triages incoming phone calls, emails, and other communications regarding maintenance issues from staff across hospital and clinic sites.Provides clear instructions to staff on reporting processes and escalation procedures.Documents requests accurately and completely in the software system.Evaluates reported issues to determine priority and appropriate response level.Assigns maintenance work orders to the appropriate technicians or service teams. Monitors work order status and follow up to ensure timely completion and customer satisfaction.Learns and operates multiple systems critical to hospital operations, including but not limited to CMMS, building control systems, pneumatic tube systems, etc. Observes system dashboards and alerts, reporting anomalies or failures to technical staff.Assists in generating reports for performance metrics, system utilization, and compliance.Supports standard operating procedures and recommend improvements for efficiency and reliability.Provides new-hire refresher training to Facility users.Creates and maintains access rights for Facility Service staff if appropriate technology solutions.Essential QualificationsThe individual must be able to work the hours specified.
