Job summary

Avera St Luke's Hospital in Aberdeen, SD is hiring for a hospital environmental service associate to maintain a clean, safe patient and public areas. The position offers day shift hours, weekend/holiday rotation, and a $1,000 sign-on bonus where eligible.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, neat environment in patient rooms, terminals, offices, lounges, and lobby areas.
• Perform cleaning activities including dusting, washing, mopping, vacuuming, and trash removal.
• Keep carts stocked with supplies and assist with linen handling.
• Provide courteous service and maintain confidentiality and safety.

A Brief Overview
Responsible for maintaining a clean work environment in assigned areas which may include, but not be limited to: patient rooms, terminals, offices, nurse's stations, lounges, hallways, bathrooms, kitchen areas, elevators, and lobby areas.
What You Will Do

• Maintains a clean/neat environment in working area. These areas may include, but not be limited to: patient rooms, terminals, offices, nurse's stations, lounges, hallways, bathrooms, kitchen areas, elevators, and lobby areas.
• Participates in all cleaning activities as assigned. These may include, but not be limited to: dusting, washing, drying, mopping, vacuuming, moving furniture, and emptying trash.
• Keeps assigned area fully stocked with supplies such as paper towels, toilet paper, etc.
• Responsible for maintaining stock on individual cleaning carts including wet and dry supplies.
• Maintain good customer relations at all times.
• May sort, wash, and accurately deliver linens.

Preferred Education, License/Certification, Or Work Experience

• High School or GED Equivalent
