Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience providing facilities support, moving or installing office furniture and equipment, or related work.
• Experience safely using hand tools, power tools, or material-handling equipment.
• Read blueprints/schematic drawings.
• Coordinate and oversee contracted work crews.
• Plan, organize, and coordinate work assignments.
• Apply proper safety techniques and use protective equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day facilities operational support for the Department of Children and Families Headquarters office.
• Complete facility work orders and support requests in a timely and efficient manner.
• Coordinate and oversee contracted moving services.
• Inspect property and grounds for unsafe conditions, report safety, security, or illegal-activity concerns.
• Set up and break down tables, chairs, equipment, and other items for special events.
• Reconfigure, install, position, and remount office furniture and equipment to meet user needs and maximize office space.
• Safely use hand tools, power tools, specialty tools, dollies, and hand trucks.
• Monitor and maintain security cameras and card-access systems, coordinating vendor maintenance and repairs.
• Operate assigned vehicles and equipment safely and report mechanical problems requiring repair.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
