Job summary

Qualifications

• One year of paid work experience in maintenance, plumbing, electrical, or mechanical repair.
• Vocational/technical training in mechanical repair or a building trade can substitute 360 classroom hours for one year of experience.
• Experience with repair and maintenance procedures and methods.
• Ability to work on-call, including nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist in repairing buildings, facilities, and grounds.
• Maintain sitewide plumbing, heating, electrical, and security systems.
• Prepare sites for extreme weather and assist with clean-up after weather events.
• Assist with other Department of State activities as needed.
