Job summary

Florida Department of Children and Families in Orlando, FL seeks a General Services Specialist - Pending Reclassification to support property inventory, records management, fleet operations, facility oversight, safety administration and related purchasing.

The role requires travel across the Central Region (Ocala to Sebring), typical 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM hours, not a telework position, and interaction with vendors, building management, and agency systems.

Qualifications

• Two years Administrative related work experience, and a high school diploma or its equivalent.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Advanced education from an accredited university or college can substitute on a year-to-year basis of the required work experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform property inventory and management tasks for the service area.
• Maintain records of accountable assets from acquisition to disposal in agency software.
• Coordinate tracking of contractor assets and disposal/disposition of property items.
• Manage facility maintenance via workorder system; coordinate inspections and renovations.
