Job summary

Hope is seeking a Manager of Facilities and Safety in Melrose Park, IL to lead the maintenance team and ensure safe, reliable operations across multiple facilities. You will supervise daily facilities tasks, manage safety programs, and coordinate with directors to align with program needs.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in facilities management or related field and at least two years of supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in facilities management or related area.
• Minimum two years’ experience managing teams.
• Proven ability to plan, oversee and improve maintenance operations.
• Knowledge of building codes, safety standards and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Plans, supervises, and evaluates the work of the maintenance staff required for around-the-clock operation of Melrose Park building facilities.
• Interviews, selects and oversees training of maintenance team members; conducts evaluations per policy.
• Evaluates reliability and work quality; handles coaching, counseling, and progressive discipline as needed.
• Conducts routine inspection reports of interior and major components; performs safety walk-throughs.
