Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum high school graduate.
• 0-2 years of safety or woodworking operations experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, Outlook.
• Preferred First Aid and CPR; familiarity with OSHA and DOT regulations.

Responsibilities

• Regularly inspect operations to ensure safe practices and guards are in place.
• Investigate accidents and near-misses, identify causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Develop safety programs and incentives with management.
• Conduct new hire safety training and ensure understanding of safety policies.
• Provide training on safe operation of machinery and equipment.
• Chair the Safety Committee.
• Maintain OSHA 300 log and required reports.
• Coordinate annual fire inspections and regulator tours.
• Monitor hearing conservation program and medical restriction duties.
• Prepare regular and special safety reports.
