Job summary

Community Action Center in Whitman County, WA seeks a full-time, on-site Maintenance Specialist to perform repairs and upkeep on CAC properties. You will work under the Rentals Coordinator, handling carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, roofing and landscaping tasks at our rental units daily.

The role requires three years of rental housing maintenance experience, ability to lift up to 100 pounds, a valid driver's license, and a background check.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in rental housing maintenance, repair, or construction.
• Experience in carpentry and painting preferred.
• One year in a lead position preferred.
• Background check and drug test required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair and improve CAC properties including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, roofing and landscaping.
• Prepare maintenance plans, material lists, cost estimates and schedules.
• Supervise repair work by contractors and manage inventory of materials.
• Inspect housing units to meet Housing Quality Standards.
• Assist in program planning and proposals.
• Complete tasks assigned by Rentals Coordinator.
• Available for rotating weekend on call.
