Job summary

Community House Mental Health Agency in Seattle seeks a Maintenance Technician to support multiple CHMHA properties and collaborate with staff, managers, and external contractors on painting, preventive and routine maintenance, and safety compliance across CHMHA sites.

The role requires a high school diploma, a valid driver’s license, and flexibility for non-traditional schedules including after-hours duties.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Valid driver’s license with clean record.
Ability to work non-traditional schedule, including after-hours duties.
Ability to perform simple mathematics.
Legible handwriting.
Ability to read and comprehend maintenance requests via software.
Able to perform duties with reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

Maintain tenant and staff confidentiality.
Coordinate HVAC, roofs, backflow and elevator inspections, pest management and landscape contracts.
Keep storage areas clean and organized.
Work with staff, tenants and outside contractors respectfully.
Ensure facilities are safe by assessing plumbing, electrical and other mechanical needs.
Track routine tests per city, state and DSHS regulations.
Maintain records per guidelines.
Provide tenant contact for emergencies.
Attend staff meetings and trainings.
Perform other duties as assigned.
