Job summary

Cherryland Electric Cooperative is seeking a proactive Facilities Coordinator in Grawn, MI to oversee the new headquarters transition and ongoing facility operations. You will coordinate contractors, vendors, and internal teams, ensuring the building is ready for occupancy and daily activities.

Responsibilities include managing HVAC, safety systems, and maintenance, while coordinating office moves and small capital projects.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years in facilities operations, maintenance, or construction support.
• Experience coordinating projects with timelines, budgets, and stakeholders.
• Experience managing vendors, negotiating services, and overseeing contracts.
• Practical knowledge of general building maintenance and safe minor repairs.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook/Excel).
• Valid driver's license and vehicle for local travel.
• Ability to report on-site and reside within 30 minutes of Grawn, MI.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and internal teams during construction and the move-in process.
• Ensure the new headquarters is operationally ready for employees and daily work.
• Support facility setup, furniture installation, office moves, and transition projects.
• Manage building services (HVAC, janitorial, grounds, safety systems) and monitor contracts.
• Oversee capital improvement projects and ongoing facility enhancements.
• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs within safety guidelines.
• Coordinate repairs with qualified contractors and support preventive maintenance programs.
• Oversee fuel management system operations, inventory, and service coordination.
• Maintain compliance documentation and support safety/building inspections.
