Job summary

City of Boulder is seeking a Facilities Project Manager to administer large and complex city construction projects, including new buildings and renovations. You will support project planning, scheduling, budgeting, procurement, and closeout while coordinating with staff, contractors, and external partners.

Under supervision, you will monitor timelines, identify risks, generate reports, and maintain thorough documentation using Smartsheet.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in project or construction management.
• Four years of project or construction management may substitute for education.
• Two years of administrative, project coordination, or related experience.
• Must hold and maintain a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Plans, coordinates, and monitors facilities projects from initiation through closeout.
• Manage scope, schedule, budget, procurement, contracting, and deliverables.
• Analyze project information to identify risks, delays, and resource issues.
• Monitor timelines, dependencies, dashboards, and reporting using Smartsheet.
• Review financial information, investigate variances, and escalate if needed.
• Coordinate procurement activities, including quotes and contracts.
• Support project closeout, compile documentation, and turnover materials.
• Coordinate site visits, meetings, inspections, and contractor activities.
• Prepare status reports for leadership and maintain project resources.
