Job summary

Camelot Facilities Management is seeking a Facilities Project Manager for a multi-year expansion project in Boston’s Back Bay. You will represent the facilities team onsite from design review through turnover, ensuring operational realities are reflected in plans and that spaces are ready for live operations.

This role focuses on integrating facilities management with project management, coordinating logistics and safety, and delivering a turnkey handoff with complete turnover documentation for

Qualifications

  • 8–10+ years of combined experience in facilities management, project management, and/or construction management.
  • Working knowledge of MEP and building systems (design-level engineering expertise not required).
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, including explaining technical information to varied audiences.
  • Professionalism, discretion, and composure in a high-visibility corporate environment.
  • Calm, direct, and organized when priorities compete and plans change.
  • Responsiveness, attention to detail, and follow-through; you spot problems early and bring practical solutions.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

  • Be the connector. Serve as the primary liaison between the design and construction team and the client’s facilities leadership. Represent facilities requirements in project meetings, report status and emerging risks to stakeholders, and escalate issues that can’t be resolved at the working level.
  • Build operations into the plan. Partner with project management on project schedules, risk mitigation, and contingency planning so operational requirements are built in from the start.
  • Keep the building running. Coordinate contractor site access, loading docks, and staging with construction and security. Coordinate planned shutdowns, utility outages, and systems testing to minimize disruption to occupants and operations.
  • Catch it early. Conduct first-pass reviews of MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) and building systems designs. Coordinate full technical reviews with the client’s facilities team and send comments back to engineering.
  • Close it out right. Serve as the client’s primary point of contact for punch lists and project closeout as each construction phase finishes and track every item to resolution.
  • Keep people informed. Coordinate with the client’s internal communications team on occupant-facing announcements about project activity.
  • Hand it over ready. Collect and organize turnover documentation, including O&M manuals, record drawings, warranties, and commissioning reports, and enter it into facility management systems (CMMS) as needed, so facilities staff can support new systems from day one.
