Job summary

Advanced Technology Services (ATS) is seeking a seasoned engineer to lead product development, test procedures, and process improvements in our factory environment. You will design fixtures or control systems, review test methods, and collaborate with customers to explore new product opportunities.

The role requires a Bachelor degree in Engineering and 5+ years of related experience, strong writing skills, and hands-on and project-management abilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Engineering with 5+ years of related experience or equivalent combination.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Combination of hands-on technical skills and project management experience.
• Experience in a research and development or manufacturing environment preferred.
• Ability to write technical documents and design using Pro-E.

Responsibilities

• Develops new products, tests and procedures.
• Reviews and improves existing test procedures.
• Meets with customers to review applications and opportunities.
• Designs fixtures and/or control systems and performs root cause analysis.
• Sets testing standards and methods.
• Resolves hardware and software problems and provides troubleshooting support.
• Prepares studies and documentation for customers; presents to managers.
• Coordinates with management and staff on capabilities, schedules, and processes.
• Analyzes workflow, space use and layout for maximum efficiency.
• Keeps current with latest technology and techniques.
• Trains new employees and travels ~35% to support centers or customers.
